The first completely updated new edition since 1884 of this most illustrious European armorial, providing the blazon of more than 120,000 family coats of arms. An extraordinary event for the world of heraldry: Rietstap's is the primary reference in armorial matters (a "Bible" of the Blazon, so to speak).

The new Rietstap will be a large, 2,000 page-volume, printed in two columns in a 21 by 28 centimeter format. The binding, in good cloth, will be ornamented with gildings. The armorial will appear at the end of 2004.
